As the insurance landscape continues to evolve at pace, this year’s conference theme reflects the importance of navigating change with confidence, collaboration and innovation. Together, we will explore the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of insurance law — from emerging risks and regulatory developments through to technological advancement, market transformation and the evolving expectations of our clients, businesses and communities.

The NZILA Conference has long been recognised as the leading event for insurance law professionals in New Zealand, bringing together practitioners, insurers, brokers, claims specialists, experts and industry leaders from across the country and beyond. Welcome Function – Wednesday 21 October, Auckland Harbour Cruise, Viaduct Marina: 4.00pm registration. 4.20pm boats depart, 6.00pm boats return to Viaduct Marina
Presidents Shout (Dinner pre function) – Thursday 22 October, NZICC: 4.45pm – 6.00pm
Conference Dinner – Thursday 22 October, NZICC: 6.00pm – 11.30pm
Long Lunch – Friday 23 October, Maritime Room, Viaduct Harbour: 12.40pm – 4.00pm

 REGISTRATION

The early bird conference registration fee is $925.

After 31 July 2026 it will increase to $995.

All costs are in NZ dollars and include GST.

Conference registration includes a one-year NZILA membership subscription of $100 until 1 July 2027.

Registration includes:

  • Attendance to all conference sessions on both Thursday and Friday
  • Welcome function on Wednesday night
  • Conference dinner function on Thursday night
  • Long Lunch function on Friday
  • Daily catering including barista made coffee

No accommodation bookings are being made via the conference organisers this year – conference attendees must book their accommodation directly with their preferred hotel.

Dresscode: Business attire 

Transport:  Attendees are to make their own transport arrangements.

Cancellation policy: Should you need to cancel your registration, you may reassign your registration to another person. Please email: info@tomdickandharry.org.nz If you are unable to arrange a replacement, a full refund less an administration fee of $100 will be made providing notification is received by 1 October 2026. After this date refunds will be at the discretion of NZILA.
