Welcome to the New Zealand Insurance Law Association
NZILA was established in 1991 to promote interest in, and understanding of, the law relating to insurance and to encourage the exchange of information and ideas concerning insurance law.
We are a not for profit Association which encourages collaboration between those working in the insurance industry and lawyers practising in this field.
Our primary function is delivering educational and networking opportunites such as seminars and conferences for topics of interest to our members.
NZILA also offers prizes for university students who excel in their studies within the Insurance Law profession.
Review of insurance contract law
In early March The Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs released a terms of reference for a review of insurance contract law.
